Low-Profile IDE
PATA DOM - Type-4 - Flash Disk on Module Our IDE PATA Disk-on-Module ( DOM
) products are based on reliable NAND Flash and plug directly
into nearly any motherboard with IDE ports, offering an
easy to design-in storage solution for servers and embedded
computers. With an industry standard IDE interface, they
are available in 40-pin and 44-pin styles. These DOMs
have no moving parts, and use reliable NAND flash as the
storage medium. They have far greater resistance to shock,
vibration, dust and temperature extremes compared to HDDs.
Moreover, these IDE DOMs are substantially lighter weight
than an HDD, which gives them an advantage in mobile industrial
and military devices. Best of all, with near zero access
and seek times combined with exceptional seqential read
and write speeds, they deliver performance that far exceeds
an HDD. These DOMs are made to fit most any enclosure.
AMP's Type-1 and Type-3 IDE DOMs feature industry standard
40-pin headers for tall and low-profile mounting respectively.
Type-2 and Type-4 IDE DOMs feature industry standard 44-pin
headers for tall and low-profile mounting respectively.
All four IDE DOM types are available with MLC flash in
8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, and are fully compatible
with Linux and Windows™.
Compatibility Our IDE DOMs are compatible with thousands
of different motherboards and computer systems. Since
they comply with the IDE standard they work in virtually
any standard IDE port. That makes design-in of these DOMs
quick and painless.
